Must See L.A. LFS/tanks?

I'm down in l.a. For the weekend from Portland and I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a LFS that would be fun to visit or a cant miss display tank somwhere. I figure in a town this big there has to be some cool tanks around.

I think vivid aquariums is around there I'd go see them for sure

Depends on where in L.A.
I was just in the beach area's, Redondo beach has a place called Aquatic Fantasy that had some really clean fish and a nice selection, and some great deals on small frag colonies(picked up a couple myself)
Another cool place was Jims exotic fish in El Segundo.
I need to check out Vivid myself, haven't been there yet.

I just got back from a week in LA touring the wholesalers around LAX and several retail stores. There are a couple cool shops we checked out...

If you are traveling south towards Huntingdon Beach there is a place called TONG's that has some amazing coral tanks, as well as some nice fish such as Tusks, puffers and Lions. The prices were not cheap, as expected on the corals, but the fish were priced right.

Not too far away is a place called Reef Raft that has an amazing set up and frags, but no fish. Its worth going if you wanna see what a one inch diameter chalice frag that costs $1500 looks like.....:wildone:

This chalice was at a wholesaler and was not for sale....yet (lol) but it was one of the most amazing things I saw all week.

+1 on Vivid Aquariums in Canoga Park. Amazing Aquariums & Reefs as well as Coral Gazers in Tustin/Orange if you go to Orange County.

I was going to suggest Vivid and Coral Gazers as well.

These two stores have the best frags in LA & OC, IMHO.
