Here's the scoop:

Im a first time saltwater aquarist, and im now 4 months into the tank and am fairly happy with the results so far. I dont have the ideal set-up, but since im a college student, a tight budget limits my capabilities

The rundown:

Tank:
Aquapod 12 gallon, hood removed

Sump:
20 gallon (XH)

Filtration:
Hydor Slim Skim Protein Skimmer
Filter sock
Chaetomorpha

Water movement:
3 Hydor Koralia Nano Powerheads; 2 attached to Hydor Smartwave

Lighting:
AI's Nano (Blue's) - without the controller due to lack of supply from AI

Some pictures from beginning to present:

The initial set up:
181322
The 1st fish - 1 firefish and a couple yellow clown gobies
181323
The algae/diatom breakout and 1st coral - star polyps
181324

181325

181326

I should put this up a long time ago, as i was piecing it together, but somehow school got in the way.

Please let me know what you think! More to come as well!
