So I started a two part addition for my tank and I will get the Alk up to 10.5 and with that the Calcium will pull up to 420 over the next couple days the alk will dip back down to 9 and I bring it back up and calcium comes back up with it aswell. When am I supposed to add calcium?

if I'm understanding you right you are using a bonified 2 part solution and not a product like "Turbo Calcium" or whatever...

...once your params are in order... then you add them together in equal amounts...preferably in either different parts of the tank and /or staggered by 3-4 min (I dose in a high flow area)

...if either alk or Ca is out of tolerance, then you add them disproportionately until you reach the proper tolerances, then proceed as above

...this is a abridged version, I suggest Randy's articles (Google is your friend)

I'm not sure what you mean, but you likely should be adding equal parts of both solutions. What exact products are you using?
