I've found one of these near there before. What is this snake looking thing?

It looks dead, but at the same time like it was never really quite alive either.
Between the 'platters' theres round red semi-squishy looking pads. Seems like some benthic sort of 'thing'.

There's also these cool slug creatures:

I didn't even know I had them until I got home. There's 6 of them and they were stuck to a couple random plants that were tumbling in the surf right at shores edge. That's the best picture I've gotten so far. They like to stick near each other. There's 2 pictured there. The long one whose head is near the bottom left is about 4" long. They have those feeler things around their mouths that they use to help them move and feed. The apendages are quite active and as soon as one of the creatures landed on a rock I observed the appendages shoveling detritous into the mouth one by one.

The top "necklace" looking thing is tulip snail egg casings I believe. As for the second picture, looks like vertimid snails.....kind of.

Lightning whelk I think.

That would have to be a huge snail spitting that thing out. The width of that coil is 5/8th an inch. If it were stretched out stright it'd be almost 12" long.

Maybe, I think you're correct. :)

+1
Definitely from a whelk, and the lightning whelk is as good a guess as any just based on size.

Since my reply was delayed, I was agreeing with zachfishman.

Ok its a conch egg casing. It appears they've already hatched / died. Although the 'round red' things between the flaps are actually oval shaped, with a slight pink tint that is more darkened red at one end. About 2mm long.

The worm things look like medusa worms.

The egg case could be a Welk or a Conch, they look almost the same. If you got it around Tampa it 99% likely to be a Welk as there aren't many/any conch in that area.

The worm looks a lot like a spaghetti or medusa worm but the tentacles look way too short. I have lots of little ones in my DT and fuge/DSB. Around here (S Florida) they come in 3 sizes. Tiny ones with tentacles like tan thread, bigger ones with tentacles like white string and really big ones with tentacles like heavy string that is blue/green.

Could be peanut worms
