What is this?

Hey guys.

Im still new to reef tanks, i've had mine up and running about six months now.
I noticed what i think is a polyp growing out of my live rock and cant seem to find out what exactly it is. The pic attached is from about two months ago and it has grown fairly large now. i was just wondering if anyone could help me identify it.

im 95% sure thats a majano anemone. they are HUGE pests and a pita to remove. i suggest reading up and finding the best way to take care of it

i did a little research and everyones kinda mixed on ways of getting rid of it. whats the best way...

I would try and get it out while you can see it. I havent had to deal with them in the past, but just what i would do.

no scrapping, u wont be able to get it fully, it will come back.

and if using kalk or ... make sure to get it right into the anemone, so it wont goto waste, asit can send your tank PH sky high if you use too much.

or remove the rock its on, and do it outside. in a bucket maybe. [depending on where the rock is]

and keep watching for those little guys, usually more pops out after the first one.

can u get the rock out? if u can take it out and burn the area with a lighter and rinse it good before putting it back in tank.
if u cannot get the rock out then kalk paste injected into the anemone will do the trick.

I injected some aitepsia with lemon juice. That seemed to work pretty good.

if you can take the rock out, that's your best bet
