Saw this on CNN during the hero segment about this foundation growing and planting frags onto the Florida key reefs. Just an awesome idea and relates so direct with our hobby that I thought I'd see if anyone has had any experience with them. I shot an email to them to see about doing the dive and coral restoration diver specialty course where you get to go out and help plant the frags. I live in Virginia so it's not to far to travel and my daughter 13 just got open water and loves doing the reef tank hobby with me as well so this looks really cool. This did not look like a dive shop hook but a way to bring awareness and volunteers to the ranks What does everyone think about this -- it looks like a viable restoration idea. Not sure if it can really affect a large area but you have to start somewhere and as we all know good water, light and time and things can grow significant in a short time. Love to hear everyone's feedback. Not sure if I'm ok with posting the link here but I'm going to post it and if it is removed just do a search.

Where is the FMAS forum? I'm also interested in doing this, was thinking of devoting my tank to producing frags for restoration, but don't know what would be an appropriate coral to grow.
