So I have this mushroom that was attached to 2 of my rocks and when I had to move the tank it was accidentally ripped in half. The one in the pic is doing fine but the other is on a piece of live rock and doesn't seem to have formed a mouth. Is that common? It's been about a month and it looks fine(i.e. it is still bright). Also, I won this mushroom in a raffle at frag swap but it didn't have an ID. Anyone know what it is?

Thanks

thats interesting, are you sure that it has absolutely no mouth, if not and living sound uncommon to me.

I've never had a frag without a mouth that lived. They just kinda hang around for a few days, maybe a week, but then dissolve.

Really nice looking piece BTW

I can pretty clearly see a mouth in that picture. Its in the middle, and has a little orange on it. I think people call it a superman rhodactis (for the red and blue)

Thanks for the ID Philosophile but the color is white and orange. Also, the one in the picture isn't the one without the mouth. I'm having trouble getting a picture of it with how it is placed. I'll try and get a picture posted of the other one.
