Honest Opinions on new start

So, as stated before, this is a long way from my FOWLR days. I am going Minimalistic with the LR and 'scaping and focusing on swim area.

I upgraded my RODI, installed a stick-on black background and added another Hydor powerhead. I am determined to make the dual Marineland RR LEDs work! I do have a Stunner 453 that runs 2hrs +&- the Marinelands.

So tomorrow I will be receiving from DD ( :angryfire: :headwally: bypass quarantine - I forgot to add the filter back to the sump its dry and crusty) But, it is DD and I am prepared to hospital later anything if needed:
Mauritius Orange Butterflyfish (Chaetodon kleini)
Zebra Barred Dartfish (Trio) (Ptereleotris zebra)
DFS Safecracker Zoas IM (Zoanthus sp.)
DFS Radioactive Dragon Eye and Green Lantern Zoas IM (Zoanthus sp.)


I know I am breaking the law of QT, and am praying DD will prevent a devastation. Please don't hit me too hard, but be honest!


I tried to introduce the smallest bioload possible, after selling the eel.

RODI 4Stage, better than the Sears/Kenmore I was using.

Yes it is coraline. The dd order will help I didn't qt any of my fish for a long time. The only reason my last tank crashed was because I bought a tang from a lfs and well you know the rest.

I had the same problem with a clown from my LFS thqt killed literally everything in my tank in three days and it has made me believe in quarantining like I never thought possible.

Verdog, I love the tank. I am a HUGE fan of using coral skeletons as rock for a tank like you did with what looks like maybe a favia or a moon brain skeleton. I am turing my peacock tank into a coral graveyard because I think it would be awesome. Good start so far. As for the no QT I have no comment either way.
