View Full Version : Cleaning the sand?

Reef Rocks has changed their website in the last week or so. I am pretty certain that they claimed their sand was "pre-rinsed" so I wouldn't have to but this seems to be gone now.

Would you folks recommend that I rinse it anyway?? If so, what would be a good method for doing this?

Thanks, Ken

Ken, seems as though you are striking out. I talked with Steven on march 9 to place my order and he told me that he would be making price changes with in the week given the price of diesel fuel and operating costs. I think the web change must have took place in the last 3 days.

We did talk at that time though about his cleaning process and that the sand would be ready to go....pre washed, no rinsing needed......in fact I am pretty sure he told me you could basically dump the sand into a tank of water and have clear water rather quickly.

Looks like I just made it in time. Placed my order around the 3rd or 4th, I was just wondering if I was correct in remembering about the rinsing part. I looked to double check, didn't see it and got to doubting my memory.

Thanks!!

Every box of sand we sell is cleaned and put though a water washer that removes the ulta-fine and light particles.. So you don't have sand storms in your tank...
By the way thanks guys for your business....

Thanks Steve,

I do like the appearance of the rock I received, it was just bigger pieces than I thought it would be. No Worries.

I will place another order in the next two to three days. I'm now looking for some fist sized rocks. I will detail it in my order. Peace;)
