Phosphate pellets in the bag.....

Since I can no longer fit my canister filter under the tank with the new sump, I am left without a reactor for phosphate remover. My phosphate remover is API Phos-zorb in its own little bag. I just threw the bag in the sump where it is just floating around. I know this will be less affective then the previous method, but will this be affective at all?

Yes I'm sure it will still help. May not be as effective but will still remove some.
