Finally got around to playing around with my DSLR. Should have done this a lot sooner. Let me know what you guys think

I won this at the MACI Marine Geeks raffle. I have no idea what kind of chalice it is, but it was for sure hungry.

Should have entered this into the polyp extension POTM contest. That's about an inch longer than normal.

Nice shots of the corals, Rich! What lighting did you shoot the pictures under? Actinic blue?

I'm a LED man. I had the blue night lights on with a little supplement from my daylight blues. I have everything on dimming circuits so I can play with the color temp. This was about 13,000K I believe. The photos came out pretty close to what my eye was seeing so that was a plus. I've had a really nice macro lens for some time, I just have had trouble finding the time to play around. I probably need to do a little photoshop work to tune in the colors and sharpen up the background. Unfortunately I'm not a photoshop guy.

Hey you will have to come out sometime and teach me some lessons on my DSLR. I am clueless on it at this point.

"A Chalice Of Forgetten Name" had a much more mysterious ring to it. Instantly made it a more expensive coral :)
