added a copperband about 3 wks ago to tank. He's been eating frozen mysis but that is all he'll eat for now. this white are has popped up on his pectoral fin and I don't have a clue. Doesn't look like ich, I was thinking maybe Lymphocystis but really don't know. what are your thoughts?

Looks like lymphocystis to me. Given good water quality, it should go away on its own.

Lympho is a virus. Stress could be a factor; but I've never seen anything that links the two. I doubt if it is. Keep a good eye on these two; established YTs can be very territorial/aggressive and CBBs don't do well with aggression or even a lot of "hyper" fish. If the YT gets too rough; I'd put the YT in your QT and re-introduce him. This can help with the territorial problem. How big a tank are they in? Both these fish need space.

90 gal. upgrading to a 120-150 in a year or two. YT leaves him alone for the most part but every once in a while makes a run at him. Copperband is larger than YT.
