How to determine firmware on MP40w (2nd Gen)

As the title asks; how do I determine the firmware version on my Mp40w's? I purchased a couple of used ones and I can't seem to locate the long pulse mode on the unit (won't flash pink). Trying to determine if there is an easy way of finding out this information.

maybe you can try the gen 3 instructions....

"The firmware revision on your driver can be determined by pressing and holding option/power button when turning your EcoSmart Driver on"
