Ok i have a 55 gallon tank. I have a shimmer magnum 350 canister filter and a hang on back filter. I have been reading about nitrate problems wich I have,I can never get rid of them. So should I get ride of the hang on to try to reduce nitrates. I wouldn't be replacing it with anyrhing. Also the hang on seams to do the most work. After a week the filters are really dirty and get cleaned or replaced compared to the canister that doesnt get very dirty. So any thoughts.
