I have lots of micro bubbles sticking to my algae, corral i have starting, and my live rock. I understand it is from the skimmer and Once I get a sump tank with baffles this will help... but for now is there anyway I can help disipate these micro bubbles?

Thanks in advance
Dan

How long have you had your skimmer for?

Skimmer has been on the tank for 3 weeks I believe. I bought it used with no pump and was hooked up by a buddy with a used motor that worked and a seperate motor that most likely will work if I soak in vinegar.

You'll have to wait it out most likely. They take a minute to slime up.

Skimmers take a little while to break in (ie slime up) any time they're new or you do a good cleaning of the main skimmer body (inside).

I agree with the skimmer having to "slime up" to work properly, but 3 weeks seems a little excessive to me. Are you sure the skimmer is hooked up properly? You might want to check it just to be sure. JMO.

You'll get bubbles in your tank without a skimmer too. My skimmer doesn't put bubbles into my tank, but it's a new tank and I still have bubbles forming on things as the biological processes happen.

Are you sure your skimmer is putting bubbles in your tank, or just see bubbles and assume it's the skimmer causing them?

I most defiantly am not sure its hooked up properly. As I said i got it used with no pump, I am new to the hobby (never owned a Skimmer) it seems to be working well and it spots out bubbly water but...there are bubbles on the glass and rocks...things I assumed were from the Skimmer but may not be. I really feel stupid now;) lol thanks guys.
