Well we have had the new tank for what 2 weeks now?:wildone: And the hubby is already wanting to sell off my tank :uhoh2: He doesn't see the need to have two. Its funny to since he really doesn't do any of the maintenance or anything. :D So I guess here in the next few days I will be putting up my 72g bowfront :sad1:

Bah stand your ground and till him both stay. You already spent the funds may as well get your money worth.

Ya I know I should, but I will hopefully be getting a job soon since I will be getting my license and my time will be limited. lol And I doubt he will step up to the plate. lol Plus I wouldn't really want his hands in the tank anyway since he is a mechanic. lmao

Tanya -- You could try the approach that growing corals limits the need to take additional corals from the ocean, therefore two tanks allow you to make the world a better at a faster pace. Besides, if he takes over the maintenance of one of the tanks he will get the benefit of the good karma and he will be able to get a better sense of his ecological identity. Ok, so maybe not, but it could work. If that fails then make the business case.

Good luck.

Maybe he would swing for a reef tank and an aggressive fish only tank? Get some non-reef-safe fish(triggers, eels, wrasses, anglers, etc.....)

My husband will help me (go with me to get water, etc at the fish store and other grunt work) but doesn't have any real interest in my hobby. I'm happy he doesn't get angry when I spend money on the tanks from our household account.

I just picked up a new (to me) tank and he's already asking when we'll be able to sell the old one.

:lmao: Good luck with trying to convince him to keep it :) :D

Ya this is his hobby but I was the one that has been reading, learning and taking care of the tanks lol. But Since I know more then he does I enjoy it so I guess I can say it is my hobby too :):love2:
