its like they have a film over them, they close up and kinda lose their color. then if u touch them they just like crumble.

It looks as though it's a tank-wide problem. We may be able to help if you post information about your tank (size, lighting, filtration, dosing etc. pretty much anything you can think of) and parameters (salinity, alk, ph, phosphaes, nitrates, mag., calcium again, anything you test for). Have you seen any pests on them like nudibranchs or amphipods?

I'm not 100% sure about amphipods eating them. They are, however, a major irritator. They get down in between the polyps and bug the heck out of them. People have said that they have seen amphipods eating zoas though.

Hmm definatly can see them being a irratant. But thats why we have wrasses and tangs to get rid of problem areas of our tanks toss in a melanarus wrasse and he'll decimate them within days.. I love my melanarus he is always on the prowl for pests

By the looks of your substrate I would definatly say you need to post some info; your water parameters specifically.

I dont see amphiopods being a problem here at all. The OP said they are crumbling. This pods myth bugs me there is no proof.

You're probably right. It would take a pretty long time for them to be affected that much. I agree you about amphipods eating zoos though. That's why I mentioned them as pests not that they were preying on the zoos.

How old is the tank. Are the zoas new additions, if not how long have you had them in your tank.
