Hey guys, I've had my dry rock in the tank for about two months now. I know it gets darker in color and green algae/coralline algae starts growing on it. But something else has started growing it. It's a peach or faded orange color. Any ideas of what it might be?

Could be Orange Coralline Algae, or Diatoms.

Dry rock in a tank for 2 months developing a faded orange color to me means diatoms. Part of the cycle. A pic would help.

Doesn't look like diatoms from the picture. Probably just a different color of algae. Are your alkalinity, calcium, magnesium and pH at good levels? A significant change in pH or one of the other factors could lead to a change in color.

Parameters are clear across the board :)
