Quick new to hobby question

I have a coralife 24" aqualight pro which is running 2 65 watt 420-460 combo actinic PCs Sunpaq ( by current ) with a 150 watt Metal Halide Hexarc blue bulb.

Is it nessary to have the actinics on while the halide is on?Iis there a benefit?

All that I have is Button Polyps and Zoas in there now

Should I just turn on the actinics for 2 hours before the MH and then turn them off while the MHs running and then turn the actinics back on for 2 hours after MHs turn off? in interest of saving energy costs.

I really don't want to slow down growth (will it?) and spreading at this time

No reason you can't do that.

Reason most people run the actinics with MH is because the visual appearance is more pleasing. It gives a bluer tint to the water and brings out the colors of some corals.

Thanks so as far as photosynthisis the actinics arn't nessary?
