Are chalices ok on sand bed?

Are chalices ok on sand bed or do they need to be on a rock I've seen some bare bottom tanks with them on the bottom but not to many on the sand.

Chalice are perfectly ok in the sand bed. Try to keep the sand off of the tissue though. They can remove themselves but eventually it will irritate the tissue. You can pretty much place them anywhere in the tank. Just be careful with flow and lighting.

High flow you get a thick tissue that doesn't really skirt out. Low flow and the tissue flows out like a skirt.

High lighting in most cases will bleach the coral. Killing it or losing all color pigment. In some cases for example, my Randy's O Chalice loved being in the top 1/3 of the tank under a 250w MH
