Hey everyone,

Totally excited about my new build!

Just picked up my 2' x 2' x 2' rimless from John @ Advanced Acrylics. I must say, his attention to detail is amazing - the tank came out great. 3/4" acrylic with rounded corners, 1.5" bulkhead for overflow, and 3/4" for return. I'm thinking of a Durso standpipe or even a Herbie.

I picked up the AI Sol and and MP10 for lighting an flow. But guess what, the MP10 will not work on 3/4" thick glass/acrylic... :headwallblue: I'm not sure if I have the extra dough for the MP40 right now. I've seen a build with the glass modified with an indention - I wonder if I can buff down a perfect cirlcle in the acrylic to 1/2" to make the MP10 sit in...thoughts?

My dad built an amazing stand for me, with the dimensions of 48"L x 24"D. I initially planned on a larger build, however, I think the cube will look awesome on top of it when it's centered in the middle (will also have A LOT of room underneath). I'll post a pic once I pick it up...

I'll be transferring a lot of my old equipment over from my current 46g w/ 30g sump as soon as I figure out the overflow piping this coming week.

Overall, planning on something like this:

Will post more pics as the build progresses.

Can't wait to see everything mounted. How much for the mp10?

I can't either! MP10 was around $250 or so. Had a discount from a local fish store.

Hey everyone,

I've been updating my build within the Southern California Reefers section, here: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2153105

Not sure how to easily transfer posts to this form as well. Anyone know how to seamlessly do this?

All water is flowing now; it's been about 6 days. The Herbie system is truly dead silent, I'm really glad I drilled the extra hole. Plus, I feel better about having a backup drain.

I will have to post some shots of the sump and plumbing this weekend. I'll also get the refugium and ATO system up and running. Enjoy!

More updates in the Southern California Reefer section: http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2153105. From now on, I will continue to update this thread as well. Enjoy!
