So over the last few months I have acquired many many items…but I am finally nearing the end…I think.

So far I have accumulated the following items for the tank:

120RR Tank
50 Gal Breeder Sump
Glass baffles / silicone / sandpaper for glass edges / silicone tool
SRO 3000SSS Skimmer
Tek Light 8x54w – still need to pick up
15’ of 1” PVC pipe / 15’ of ¾” PVC pipe
Bulkheads, Elbows, couplings, T’s, various other plumbing parts & PVC primer and cement
BRS reactor for Carbon – will purchase another for GFO
120lbs of Fiji Pink Sand
200gal worth of salt to get stated – IO reef crystals

Still to purchase, if I can’t find locally from reefers I’ll have to buy new:

Mag 9.5 or equivalent

Powerheads (have a 1300gph lined up) possibly buying two Koralia 1400 can’t afford the Vortechs yet.

Heaters – Are there any heater controllers that control more than one heater besides the tank controllers? Leaning toward 2 300W heaters

What am I missing here, any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

Thanks Jack...I didnt know if the JBJ heater controllers could accomidate two heaters and control them individually.

I will def have two heaters...I also have extra heaters now...Ill have two extra when I take down the current tank.

I can't believe I forgot about getting more rock....ugh...never ends...lol

You might be able to skip the heaters all together. I run a mag 9.5 in my 90 gallon reef and don't use a heater at all. In fact, I could stand to use a chiller most of the time. The mag pump makes enough heat to keep my tank at 78-80 degrees all year long. I took the heater out two years ago because of the horror stories of one shorting out. Don't need those problems.

in the summer months, basically half the year, i do not run a heater (usually)...

in the other 6 to 7 months, i need one...

imo, use Finnex heaters... the digital one with the external thermo stat... its also said when they fail (AS ALL HEATERS DO) that they jus turn off, and not stick on...

GL with whatever you decide with however you set things up :)
