Haha it is. It is just under an inch. Hard to see the spot. Im leaning towards n. Wennerae again right now. I thought it was a g viridis but now i dont think so anymore.

is it too small to id'd yet? I still don't have any idea to what kind of mantis this is other then it is a clubber. Solid green color except near the rapitorial appendages which are kind of orangeish or soft red color. I could not see any meral spots. please help!

could you have mistaken a dark purple for black? G. Smithii often has a purple meral spot, which is often darker in males (according to the Dr.)

Definitely try more to get a good proper look at those meral spots on his cute little clubby wubbies. h0h0h0! Sometimes different light sources can help/hinder seeing the proper color of them also.

Do you know where this mantis was collected? That can help with identifying.

the spot is actually white with a little black speck in the middle. its not like the smithiis where the spot is dark with a thin white rim. i mistyped it earlier. im not sure where it was collected, my lfs just held it for me when they found it in there system. ill try to get a better picture, with a real camera not a phone, later today. i'm going to try to get a close up of the meral spots.
