Professional QT

Do any of the LFS or someone else(private reefer) offer quarantine services. As I begin adding more expensive and disease prone fish in the coming months I want to QT. I just dont have the space or the time to do it properly. My work takes me away a couple days at a time. So far my wife does fine with the daily maintenance but a QT, watching for disease, and treatment, would be above her knowledge or to be honest her give a crap level. Doing it over the phone and in pictures just sounds miserable for both of us. Do these services exist?

Very doubtful. You gotta consider that they are trying to get fish sold with in a week or two and keep the gears turning. Holding fish that are NFS takes up valuable real estate and also greatly increases their risk in losing your expensive and disease prone fish. I'm not aware of any store that will hold a fish for more than a few days after being paid in full. Now to play devil's advocate - who do you consider responsible if the fish happens to die in that time? I've seen customers get really mad at stores for just that. Unfortunately, more often than not the store is then slandered all over the place for the crime of trying to help out one of their customers.
We do it for our service customers, but that is a very different scenario as most of our income is derived from repeat and regular maintenance and very little from livestock sales. For us, it is only logical to provide that luxury to our clients and if a fish dies in QT, we save face since the client never saw it but I still have to pay for it. A LFS has to make it on consistant livestock sales.
