Osomolator

Hi Roger,

Been having a problem with my Osmolator with it not firing off on a regular basis when the water is low.

I have the older model, roughly 2 years old now and I DO have the tunze magnet setup for the eye and overflow cut off.

I understand there has been an improvement made to a newer model for magnets etc???

What is the change and can an older one be updated? Whats the cost?

A new 5017 would be the only way to get the upgrade as the circuit board is different to accomodate the pump speed control. This is mostly useful for Nano tanks to slow down the top off pump.

I would start by soaking the optic sensor in vinegar for a couple hours. A mineral film on the sensor will cause this problem and generally this problem occurs 1-2 years in.
