I tested the "big three" for reef tanks and my results are off. The salinity is at 1.025, which I want to get up to 1.026 (easy fix, not sure it will get these readings where I want though). My readings are as follows: Mag 1180 ppm, Calc 415 ppm, and Alk 6.3 dKH. My 125 contains three coral frags. A torch, which now has two heads (only had one when I purchased in March), a single frogspawn head, and a 1/2"x1" Idaho grape monti. How should I go about dosing? This is my first time having to dose for my tank. After I get levels where I want should I start with kalk in the ATO? Not planning on any coral purchases for a little while (June at the earliest).

Dose buffer (baking soda) and magnesium.

You are looking for 8, 420, 1300.

Magnesium needs to be 3x calcium or greater.

You can start adding kalkwasser (ms wages pickling lime) to your top off now if you would like but I would get mag up first as it will help the levels stay in balance and reduce precipitation.

1.025 is fine.

Yes, get your Mag up first then it will be easier to maintain calcium and alkalinity...

3 small frags in that much water, your water changes would probably be enough.

I guess I can keep trying the water changes after getting the levels back up. Thanks for the help.
