I just ordered a custom Ridge from Pico Aquariums, its going on my counter in place of the nuvo as a peninsula tank with filtration up against wall

This is where I need assistance, I would like to hide all plugs and wires without having to drill into granite.

my thoughs were to build a small box 12x12x2 and mount under cabinets hiding all wiring and plugs inside with this toggle switch on outside, thoughts, would you guys do differently or use a better power strip?

That will work. To get all the wires down to the cabinet you can take some 1" pvc and cut a slot in it lengthwise to fish all the wires in. Paint it whatever color matches and it will help it blend.

Wires should only have to travel 4-5 inches but thats an excellent idea, cant thank you enough Joshua. Cabinets are white so that should be an easy one.

Do you think I should use something different for the power supply than what I showed? thanks again!

Plenty of people use those dj strips. They work fine and make it easy to turn off individual components without having to unplug stuff.
