This is from wikipedia

A nano reef is a type of marine aquarium that is typically less than 140 litres (30 gallons). The exact limit that distinguishes a nano reef from a regular reef is somewhat ill-defined (some claim that anything less than 180 litres/40 gallons would qualify), but 140 litres (30 gallons) seems to be the generally accepted limit.

I selected less than 40...my Elos Midi is a 36 - so I don't agree with the concept that 2 extra gallons now equates to a non-nano reef. I propose any tank that can't support a tang be considered a nano....or not.

Yeah, no. 24x24x24 is sixty gallons, that tank can't support a tang.

I personally think of a nano tank as 10 gallons or less. However that wasn't the majority opinion when that guideline was posted.

I voted 40 & under.

Ran a couple of nanos in the past, and in my personal opinion/ experience a 40g breeder still presents a lot of the challenges that come with a nano.

I voted 34g, but really think its 30'ish and under. I don't think a 40 breeder is quite a nano tank, although its close, but I could see a 40g cube as a nano tank. The line is broad and blurry, but its definitely 30'ish IMO.
