Seems like a nice clean design. I was going to do a DIY sump but am leaning towards this one for my 100G. The plan is to get a Reef Octupus skimmer and a mag drive pump. Seems like all this will fit comfortably and be the correct size for my stand with room to spare.

Thanks. $25 cheaper. Depends on if they offer free shipping or not on which is the better deal.

It seems kinda small and expensive to me

It does seems slightly pricey, but I do like the design of it, and that it is acrylic. I also like how they have incorporated the black dividers to block the light from the return section also. Very nice find. i am wondering if it will hold the footprint of my reef octopus? hmm

The first design seems to be a deep compartment for a skimmer so lots of skimmers won't fit unless you put them on a stand.

Seems kinda pricey. Where are you located? I just had a custom sump made for me in Los Angeles area and I am really pleased with it. I can give you the guys name if you are around here. He did an amazing job and I am really excited get my system up and running.

I live in Louisiana. My next step is to check with my local fish stores. There are 3-4 in a 50 mile radius and see if they have any suggestions that are similar but cheaper. I really like the design of the ADHI though. I really like how clean the light is attached. I am trying to stay away from the clip on Home Depot light. I want it all to look nice. If I wind up getting a light separate I will try to keep looking clean.

I had that exact one for a while for a build I never ended up putting together so I never actually used it, but the build quality was really nice. I personally think though the price is high. I bought it used for $150. Sold it for $125. I just set up a 90 gallon and used a 40 breeder and put my own glass baffles in it. Picked up the 40 on craigslist for $50 and had my local glass shop cut me the 4 pieces for $45. This way I was able to set it up exactly how I wanted.

Hi, Check around, that is really expensive at $350 and the skimmer chamber is small, you want some flexibility there. I bought a sump on eBay from another seller and is is 30 by 15 by 15 and no dividers for around $130 shipped, I bought a sheet of acrylic from Home Depot and glued on in at right height for my skimmer and with lots of room. Also consider you may not really need last chamber for a pump and go with an external pump. I would not buy the sump he is offering for these reasons - over priced - skimmer chamber baffle may be wrong height for your skimmer (generally it is) and that will force you to modify it anyways - the refugium is small and not effective for nutrient export on your 100 gal tank.

Are you located in NOLA? Check out coral connections, I used to go there about 4-6 years ago and the guys know their stuff and helped me designed my sump, I ended up building it. I'm just getting back into it and going to do more research after this school year. haha

I have the ADHI 45 and am happy with it. The build quality is very good and functional layout is ok/good. I run a ASM G2 skimmer and it fits fine. NOTE I did get mine at 1/2 the cost you list (part of tank order).
funny thing about the light.. it put WAY to much heat into the water.. I switched out to a CFL and used the Fuge light fixture on my QT.
I have been hapy with the ADHI sump for 5yrs and would purchase again.
sump (yeah I have been rassed on the label maker... makes it easy to ask my wife "what is the water level in the return section".

A friend of a friend told me about them. He bought and had them setup his newest tank. Very nice and clean setup.
FYI I actually live in Pontchatoula. If you are from the area you will know where that is. I've been buying all my equipment/livestock from Aquahut in Prairieville. Really nice owner and seems to care about the hobby a lot. Next time I'm in NOLA I will check out Coral COnnection though. Thanks
