40gb Sump help!

I want to DIY my sump for my 40gb but I need some help. I have been reading a lot on RC but I would like some pics that would give me a better idea if what I'm doing thanks.

I like the above design with one exception. I always avoid a drain strait to the fuge, especially with sand in it. I run all drains to the skimmer section and let the return pump have a T that is gate valved to control flow to the fuge. I don't like the detritus that settles in the fuge with a drain directly in it. If you want to go that way I would use a filter sock to catch most of it.
