Bio Pellets - cycle again when replaced?

Suppose you got the bio pellets working just right and now it's time to replace them with new ones - does the reactor cycle again?



I would think a re-cycling reactor could be a big problem in any tank espeically a mature one.

You don't replace them all. After several months you will only need to add what's been depleted.

The reactor doesn't "cycle", it provides a carbon source for the bacteria that is already in your tank.
