View Full Version : RO Flow Meters

I have a RO system that feeds the house and the DI for the fish tank. I have no clue how much water is being used. I don't mind changing filters, but I would like them to be close to end of life and not just at 6 months.

I purchased a Digiflow 6000r which states like the HM Digital, monitors actual volume so you can determine when to actually change filters. Alarms on any of the 5 stages, etc etc.

The challenge with the Digiflow is flow needs to be .3 gpm to 3.0 gpm. My input is 2 gpm, but the RO slows it down much much lower.

I changed all the filters and the waste water is less than .2 gpm and the actual RO water might be .1 pgm. So the meter starts off for 15 or 20 seconds and then turns off because the flow is too slow.

TBaquactics confirmed the exact same thing with the HM digital volumizer.

My question is does anyone use a monitor to determine the actual water volume through their RO? If so, what are you using?

thanks
