Currently, I have a 90g aga (48''x18''x24'') with 4 T5 powered by an icecap 660 and brand new TEK-2 T5 Reflector (1 month old). In addition, I have 2 55watt pc on the back 4 inches of the tank. So, from front to back T5 (front 12'') and pc (back 4''). I've used this set up for several years and my anemone/soft coral/clams have thrived...carpet has expanded from 12'' to 24+''.

Recently, the ballast on one of the pc has gone out. I'm considering adding a LED Par38 spot light, simply to aim at a clam. Since I have just put $1000 in the tank in the past 2-3 months, I'd like to keep cost to minimum, <$100. In addition, I am limited by space. I have the standard AGA canopy that only has 5'' clearance above the water line.
Any thoughts on the PAR 38 LED or a single 18'' LED strip and consideration for using them at angle for spot light effect as supplements for the overdrive t5?
