how should i clean new storage buckets?

I just got a new 20g storage bucket from Walmart...

Should i clean it out in any particular way or is just water and a towel to wipe down the inside enough?

I guess it would depend on what you plan on storing in it. If it's unused equipment or test kits and such I wouldn't even bother. If you are going to store Ro/Di or saltmix I would give it a vinegar wash and wipe it out well. Cheap and easy. It might not actually do anything but it wouldn't hurt anything either.

It would at least get rid of that "new plastic" smell:lol:

if using for salt water. i would use bleach then rinse very good with tap water, then 1 rinse with rodi water, then u can use it for whatever
