Why not put city and name in FS threads?

Been in RC for ~6 months now and I noticed some of the FS threads stated only the zip code and not the city's name. Why not both, because most of the time someone will ask " what is your location?" Is there some type of violations if you put city names?

even so, how does it effect you?

I would think most people trying to sell something would put their location in their profile so it shows up under their avatar to the left of their post. That's where I look first (though not on this board, I don't buy from here).

When shipping something many towns have multiple zip codes and shipping companies will ask for a zip over a town for shipping quotes.

Getting bumped is great for the thread , but leaving out obvious information when selling things is not good. I know i can go and look it up, but as a seller don't you want potential buyers to have all information right there. C'mon that is just few more words.
