Just finished mine for a Biocube 14

6 Royal Blue on a Meanwell ELN-60-27D
6 Cool White on a Meanwell ELN-60-27D
3 Blue driven by a DIM4
3 UV driven by a DIM4

The LEDs are 3w Cree from rapidled

The DIM4 controls the dimming for all 4 channels and also runs the stock fans on my hood.

I was also able to keep the two factory moonlight leds as well, so I guess I have 20 LEDs over my little biocube.

I just finished my first LED build and it was also my first DIY project for my aquarium. I used aluminum C-channel for the frame work. I gutted out my Coralife pro 150W MH fixture and mounted the LED frame in the canopy for a nice professional looking result. I also reused all the wiring that was already ran into the fixture from the factory so I didn't have a bunch of wires zipped tied together comming out of it. The LEDS I used were both Bridgelux and Cree. Here's the list:

26 Royal blue Bridgelux
5 10000k Bridgelux
7 6500k Bridgelux
2 4500k Bridgelux
I used 5 of the Cree moonlights.

All of the bridgelux are ran off of three Meanwell ELN-48P drivers and the moonlights are run by a -27P. To control them I'm using the Typhoon which is proving to be pretty nice so far. My tank is a 54g corner tank and the light are about 7-8 inches off the water. I'm still playing with the optics and figuring out what bulbs to have the on and which ones not to have them on to get a look i'm happy with and i'm almost there. I have no optics on any of the white bulbs and I took a few off the blues and I'm almost there. I think I need to take them off my moonlights too. Maybe I'll try that tomorrow night and see how it looks.

Where are people sourcing the optics from. I need to change out my optics on my 124 LED fixture and don't want to have to pay a $1/each. Thanks.

My fixture consists of no name 10 watt multi chip emitters from Asia. It's a parallel set up using a 250 watt 12VDC power supply & 3 dimmers. I have another power supply on order to split the power between the LEDs & provide more flexibility in turn on/off times by using separate timers with each power supply. Also have several more dimmers on hand to provide additional control of the colours. So far it's been running flawlessly since the beginning of April.

A summary of the fixture's current config:
-Three rails of nine 10watt LED arrays each for a total of 27 LEDs,
-Two outer rails each have five 10000K White & four 452-455NM Royal Blue,
-Center rail has five 460-470NM Blue & four 6000-7000K White,
-Three 8 amp Dimmers, one controlling all the Whites & one each for the Blues & Royal Blues,
-One heatsink with fan per LED, no optics
-One 250watt 12VDC power supply,
-Terminal boards, wiring, stainless steel hardware & aluminum angle stock,
-Mahogany veneer wood frame.

The fixture weighs just over 12 lbs, or approx 5.5 kg.

Pictures you say? Read on.

Each LED chip is mounted on its own heatsink with 12VDC fan. I drilled & tapped the heatsinks to allow relatively easy removal when necessary. Used standard (non adhesive) heatsink compound under each chip.

Not quite finished, but looking a lot nicer with some mahogany stain & aluminum trim taped in place. Still need to figure out some sort of cover for the top that won't interfere too much with air circulation.
