View Full Version : VDM Moon not working right

I had no issues until I moved to the new house. As for the Moon issue:

When the Moon profile starts the leds are not responding. I have to manualy (through Apex) turn the Blue_LED on then off and it allows the leds to turn on with the right setting.

All I did diferent was I remove some componets and was able to go to a single EB8. Before I had each AI on its own plug on the EB8, now I have all 4 on a powerstrip on one EB8 plug. Would that be the issue? My total draw is still only 4.9 amps so that wouldn't effect overload right?

I wouldn't think so if the rest of your light program is functioning. Can you post your AI program/code?

After looking at your code and the seasonal table, the moon is not due to rise tonight until 12:04am. You also have a delay of 2 hrs and 40 minutes. So you will not see any moonlight until 02:44am. Could that be your issue?

no the outlet AI_Moon is on now and no lights. Just did manual on then off and it ramped down to 4%

You need to add Set OFF in the Blue_LED outlet.

Nice catch Russ.......didn't see it. (Of course you've been doing this just a little longer than I have!) He has it in the whites and Royals, I didn't notice it wasn't in the Blues.

They are on now. Was that the issue or just something that you caught that needed to be fixed?

That was the issue, I believe.

Spoke too soon. They dimmed out slowly and are now off. AI_Moon is still showing ON

ddevlin.

I still think what you are seeing is the seasonal table control of the moonlights. Mine does the same thing. It will show the Blues on, but they are not actually on because it is not time for moonrise yet. Last night, when 12:04am came around, the moonlit ramp up began.
When you turn on the moonlights, it should, if I am not mistaken, go through the ramp up process, and if it is time for the moon to be up, the lights will stay lit. If not time for the moon to be up, they will go through the ramp down and shut off. You say they dimmed out slowly.......how slowly? Maybe inline with your ramp down setting?
Again, just my $.02

Paul at neptune sent me the new beta to flash. Everything else looked good to him. We'll see if this works.
