Hard night on the reef

So I got a 75 gal a couple weeks ago set it up and everythingis fine, last night at 1:00 am the dog wakes me up and I hear water running and some strange humming noises, I run downstairs and my 75 has not 1 or 2 but 3 leaks in it, carpet is soaked, leaking downstairs, ran downstairs grab my 46 bow front and start pumping water back into that, as the 75 is still leaking I managed to get the water down enough to where it wouldn't leak, transfer everything over and get all my livestock settled, took the better part of 4 hours to do all that, now having saltwater all over the carpet and hardwood floor and in the basement makes for a long night

Oh I forgot to mention the humming noise was the pumps running dry

jeesh. Try to look on the bright side though, fortunately for your dog barking, you managed to save the tank before it completely drained.

Everything survived thru the transfer wich is good, I bought my 46 gal new and I'm never gonna get rid of it, I don't need to upgrade at all, all I got is tiny fish but some nice frags in it, I'll post a video tomorrow, 3 hours of sleep and a 14 hour day at work makes me sleepy

yep its been rough but gotta be smater then the average fish, no more spots on anything, uv steralizer worked pretty well

wow three leeks were they in the tank or plumbing? guessing tank since you swapped .thats just awful luck.

1 was in the front left corner then the other 2 where on the other side one hlf way up and the other towards the top

i didnt have a tank to move into....i got lucky when i bought my 90. my stuff moved into garbage cans for the day.lol

I am sorry to hear about your misfortune. I went through the same thing last Saturday and am still rebuilding.
