My old 56g reef tank is still full of live rock with hair algae on them. One 1400k 150w mh bulb still keeps some zooanthids and a small carpet anemone alive when on for 3 hours/day, but most of the algae has died off(because of this?). Could the hermits and snails still survive without ANY light, if supplemented w/ other algae etc?
