Placement of a MP40

I have a MP40 and a 150 Gallon Tall tank 48 wide, 32 tall, 24 deep. If I place it on the end seems just to beat stuff up or not get enough flow to certain areas. Could anyone else recommend a placement. Back wall middle perhaps.

You need more than one mp40 for a tank that size.

well I would agree however I have seen multiple 4 ft tanks running one including a 150 tall. What you have to do is run a 2nd powerhead of some kind to break up displacement behind the rock. Which Im using a maxi jet 1200. You have to agree that a mp 40 is a huge upgrade from 3 maxijets.

I'm using 2 mp40's on each side of the back walls on my 100g. I had them on each side at first but I didn't like the flow as much. Having them both on the back gives a great flow with no dead spots yet.

I have 3 on my 150g (72" tank), one on each side and one on the back. I am starting to wonder if I have too much flow and might pull the back one.
