Keep Losing Bubbles in Skimmer

I have an AquaC EV120 in-sump that does an okay job. My problem is every time my hands are in the water, I lose the bubbles. Even if it's to simply to drop a little flake food in. I bought the long arm rubber gloves from Marine Depot but they have the same effect.

Is this something I'm going to have to live with?

probably because you're changing the water depth where your skimmer is located. make sure your skimmer is in the recommended depth of water, per manufacturer.

I'm only using my fingertips in the DT to feed so I don't think that can change the water in my sump too much. I've read where people's hands in the water have this effect, maybe due to oils or whatever. I was just wondering what others do to combat the problem. Or do you just live with it?
