I have a pair of clownfish which are breeding with 2nd batch of eggs. This morning I found the female dead. The ony sign of injury is a circular hole 3/16 in diameter on the lower side. Absolutely no marks of anykind on external sides of fish. I cut the fish in half and found all insides to be missing. I rulled out crabs due to there being sloppy when eating and this fish had all of its meat not touched. Its as if something ate it from inside out. The clown was alive last night before the lights went out. Has anyone ever experienced this. The male clown is doing fine and the eggs haven't been touched. I'm at a loss.......

Chupapez.

Perhaps some parasite growing in the fish? Then it got out...

A crab, mantis or large bristle worms could have put the hole in here - and then smaller worms could easily have cleaned out the insides overnight. Was she is a particularly well established (and thus more bristleworms) tank?
