So excited to finally get one...always wanted one but wasn't willing to pay $300 for one. I've only had this guy for a day now but he's already eating anything you put in front of him. His fin is a little banged up from the plane ride from LA but I think it will heal just fine. I ordered a medium and he ended up being 6" :lol2: His color is much nicer then in my pictures but i'm hoping he'll continue to color up into a "super male". We got another one in the order that was about 8", insane because I thought these guys were only supposed to max out at 5". If anyone has any advice on keeping these guys please let me know, i've read as much as I could find on the internet about these guys.

Awesome specimen!

I have one that has been quiet aggressive towards my Labouti wrasse! They were put into display at the same time.

Both are eating everything I give it.. Very easy to keep, give them a varied diet.. Nothing special is needed to keep them in the long run.
I feed mine a mix of:

Brine
Mysis
Ocean plankton
Krill
Mussels
Ocean Nutrition marine formula 1 & 2
Flake of some brand that I can't recall now!

Good luck!

Nice fish you got there! I've got my first two wrasses on the way. A carpenters and a hoeven's. I can't wait. Congrats

LOL...yeah, got kind of tired of the sps...so I turned my tank into a hammer/frogspawn/torch heaven. I'm on a mission to get every color I can of all of them.

Any FTS? I would love to see all of those hammers, frogspawns, and torches! Great fish as well and it is one of the better photos that I have seen of a lineatus.

That's a really great addition! I love the colors of that fish and plan to add one to my tank. Where did you acquire it from? Good luck

+1 on FTS

ok...for those of you that wanted the full tank shot. Please excuse the poor photography with the point and shoot and the dirty tank.

For some reason I am not very successful with this amazing fish maybe my supermale Red margin have a lot to do with it so after few tries I sold it .
My tank is full of wrasses 30+ some are very difficult to keep but thriving except for this.

Any tips

Wow, I bet that is amazing in a huge display like that! I would love to have several wrasses (i'm slowly getting addicted to them now) but it will have to wait until we have our 225 set up next year. So far so good with this guy, but it's only day 3 so i'm still being cautious (we have a rule in our house we don't name fish until they officially pass the 30 day mark...LOL)
