So the new frags seem to be doing well, but I am not sure if I have my lights at the right setting. They are dimmable LEDs and I currently have the whiles at 45% and the blues at 55%. I was hoping to post a few pics and see what you guys think.

Here is my frogspawn. He has fully opened up but are the tantacles supposed to be a pale brownish color with green tips? seemed much darker at first. I have him in the sand bad right now. I tried to get the best pics I can:

Also does it look ike I have it in too heavy of a flow?

Here is the leather...looks good to me, has really opened up..I'm assuming this is good?

This one hasn't really opened up at all. Seems to open up more when just the blues are on.

this one is doing well. Not all that colorful when both blue and white are on, but turns purple and pink under the blues.

shrooms are doing great as well as the pallys. So...more white, less white...more blue, less blue...any ideas not sure if I should even dim them or not. it doesn't look much different to the eye when I adjust them, but I'm sure the PAR goes up. any advice would be great.

Thanks!

leave them alone for a while and let them get acclimated . sometimes it takes a few weeks for them to get comfy . did they come from high light ? is your water up to par ? corals that are newly introduced to led take a while to get settled . its a lot different than hallides or t-5 .

Agreed...got a tri-colored validia awhile back...almost a month maybe...its finally colored up...went from a dull brown to a deep red base with green and blue tips...some corals take longer than others. I've learned to be very patient in this hobby. Def worth the wait though.

They look rough... better put em in my tank, haha.

but as reefir said... corals do take a bit to get adjusted to leds. i typically start mine in the sand bed and slowly raise them up over a few days or weeks. even once they get acclimated growth is slow at first then it takes off. Keep the water good and just leave em alone.

OK. I have no problem being patient..just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing anything wrong. I will just leave the lights as they are and not play around with the settings and see what happens. I put the leather and the frogspwn in the sand and the others about midway up the tank. The one that hasn't really opened I keep moving lower thinking the light was too strong. Maybe I'll just let him be and see what happens

everymove or adjustment usually takes a few weeks to a month to know if helps or hurts , thats why it takes so long to get a reef tank setup . good luck . and when you do adjust light intensity and time , make small adjustments and let it marinate for a few weeks before making the next adjustment.

This ones a bit picky. I had it near the top of my tank on the frag shelf and it was happy there. Does like the blue light more for some reason. I would maybe glue it to a small rock, so when it keeps growing is will take over the rock. It is a fast grower and will take on that big rock in a few weeks!

Love the way it looked with my atinics, I can imagine what Blue LEDs do to it.
I will have some Rasta's and Darth Mauls for you soon, THOSE will look AWESOME in that light!

I'm with Reefir. Led's can be a bit overwhelming to corals when they aren't used to them. Give it some time and try not to make to many adjustments to anything until they really settle in.

Your frogspawn will acclimate over the course of a few days/week and perk up. Or at least he should. Every time I get a frag of frogspawn it never looks as good as it did in the LFS tank until some time has passed.

Leathers are really picky, in my experience. They want the PERFECT amount of light and flow. Too high or too low and mine closes up and starts to shed. While I think they are gorgeous, I tend to shy away from leathers lately.
