I got this pump in yesterday finally. I am going to put it online tomorrow evening to replace my T4. I have heard this thing is silent, going to see about that. Otherwise its going to be throw back in the stack of pumps and going to get the new BlowHole Reeflo pump.

Anyone have any experience with either of these pumps?

Guess no one is interest- installed it tonight- was silent until it started pouring water out the bottom of unit. removed unit and took apart- reset seal, still leaked very badly. very unhappy!

That kind of sucks, I was also looking at getting the skimmer with that pump in it. Hope it was a fluke, keep us informed, I have thinking about the RLSS skimmer with the Waveline DC-5000 pump.

my friend just set up the 11,000 model, when compared with his similar flow rate old PJ return pump, he is very happy

I have heard that these pumps are awesome but I think until it has been on the market for 5 years, we really cannot judge it. It will take that long to see if they took any other shortcuts in the build to keep the price down. I'm hoping we don't see a pattern because this is a pump that I would like to see succeed. It's price point puts it in reach of the masses.
