Are Mag-Floats any good?

yes. but dont go by the gallon size, go by the width of the glass of your tank. the recommended 30 gallon size for my tank was only recommended for .6 mm glass where as my glass is .8mm

They're great but in a nano tank they're a bit thick. If you aquascape too close to the glass it won't fit through to clean the glass.

I like scrapers and mops personally! Get into tighter places.

They are good. But look into a nimble nano if you have a small tank.

i have two but i also have a long handled scraper. i don't like mag floats down near the sand or on the seams.

I used to have one, but wanted to try the new aqueon one. It was awful! I couldn't find the mag float so had to get a new one. This time I glued a magic eraser sponge to it, so its safer near the silicone. I still don't take it to the sand, I use a scraper for that.
