hey master00,
share some of your set up exp on the BB. I'm thinking of going BB too. tank size, born on date, LR poundage, filtration system, lighting, salt mix, power heads, maintenance routine, etc...

My experience from the BB is that you need really good flow in like the bottom of the tank cuz there is always fish poop and mostly turbo snail's. i suggest that when any one is setting up a BB they can use other algae eater beside turbo snail cuz it does poop ALLLLLLLLOOOOOOTTT which lead to the bottom being dirty and not a good sight. I do water change like once every 2 weeks or so. Everything else should be the same. For example, i have a 10 gallon sump, and an extra little refugium. For saltmix, i'm trying out tropic marine. I dont think that its matter what kind of saltmix as long as you dose reularly and good lighting. I experienced really good growing when i was using sun light, but the LPS coral wasnt so great.

Good Luck with the Golden Angel. I have 2 and they are such shy fish. Hopefully with your open rock work it will be much more visible. I have one that hides on the left side of the tank and one that hides on the right.
But very cool fish.

Thanks. I got mine at age of aquarium; and they hooked me up. It was eating mysis, now it only eat pellet and flakes LOL. Luckly mine is not that shy.
How long have you have yours? What are you feeding them?

My original Golden I've had about 4 months. I see it about once a month at a glimpse cruising through the rock work. I've never seen it come out to eat anything. But I have a pretty good sized pod population and the area of the tank he hangs out in has about 400+lbs of rock in that section so there is plenty for him to hunt.
The second one I got about 3 weeks ago. It comes out a little more often. It eats pellets, frozen brine and frozen mysis. The second one is much more red. But it found a small cave and just hangs in the cave most of the time.
