What fish are the best to keep in shoals that are fairly docile and brightly colored? I've looked in Michael Scott's book and am thinking about flasher wrasses or barlett anthias but there's a warning about only keeping 1 male in a tank or there will be fighting, with both flashers and bartletts. I found a couple of links (http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1634383) that describe how to tell the differences in male and female anthias but have read it's rather difficult to tell the difference between male and female flasher wrasse's.
I'd appreaciate any experiences with small shoal fish that you care to share with me.
