Hello all! I was curious if anyone out there has any really old inverts? If so whats its story and maybe a photo would be cool. My oldest is a super tongan nassarius that I have had since 2009. When I bought it it was already full grown. It has lived in three different tanks of mine. Ill post a pic if he surfaces anytime soon. I generally only see him once every week or two.

My 2 sea cukes are original inhabitants of my tank since April, 2009. They were small, the size of the pinky finger. Now they look like stretched dung :D >10 inch long.

I have had a carribean serpent star for 11 years. (apparently they can live up to 35 years?)

He was full grown when I got him too.

He's still rocking around the tank.... his name is Rambo.

I named him that because he was given to me as a free gift with my original rock shipment and a big 3"+ crab snapped off all but one of his arms. I ditched the crab and he survived and re-grew all his arms.

And here is today, still chilling.

I'm very happy to report my yellow CBS I think is up to about 50+ mos maybe more in my 70+ month lps/sps gallon pico reef. I detail the technique in this vid

Each molt scares me...lost my boxer crab a year ago but this guy keeps on ticking so I won't add any more inverts till he keels over. I wonder what the lifespan for these guys is?

Not in my tank but someone brought a lobster in to Mystic Aquarium recently and they estimate that it's over 100 years old.

Cool stuff. Its amazing how easy it is to get emotionally attached to somthing like a snail or starfish if you have had it long enough.

Fox, a 100 year old lobster? That is one smart lobster!
