My tank has been up and running for 2 weeks but i have come to realize my pumps might be a little to big:facepalm: Tank is a 135g center back overflow with 2 drains and 2 returns with a SRO3000int skimmer in a 40g sump. I am using 2 ehiem 1262's plumbed with 3/4 line and one line thru a UV. I believe i have way to much flow thru my sump. If I run one pump should I split the line before or after the UV. Every thing is keeping up but i am having heat issues during the day(up to 82 deg). I have no dead spots in the tank and running 2 mp40's on opposite sides of the tank.

Why don't you just turn off one of the pumps and see if that kills your heat issue

i will try that to see if it lowers temp, but my other concern was that much flow through the sump. Next thing to set up is the ATO, but not knowing where I will end up pump wise it needs to wait. No rush as i will be letting it run another month before i start stocking.

Unpluging one pump droped temps 1.5 degrees and currently sitting at 80.5

Next question that i need answered. Should I split return line before or after UV.
